The Lynch Family: Avon Family Portrait Photography

I've known Doug for a while now and it was a pleasure meeting up and getting to know Danielle,  Jordan, and of course Barkley!   I met up with them at Washington Township Park which is a great spot that has a number of locations for photo ops. It was a joy all around and I had a great time taking their photos.

The First Dance: Volume 2

Not everyone likes a slow dance. For some couples getting married they want their first dance song to be a little more, say, up tempo. I totally get it. Wedding days are emotional and nobody, at least nobody who has tied the knot, will say otherwise. Emotional, yes, but the emotions are of excitement and that may mean the bride and groom want to do more than rock from side to side in a circular motion. A good song to do that to is titled "Ho Hey" by The Lumineers. The title may throw you off a bit but give it a listen.

The Still Family: Danville Indiana Family Portraits

It was Cami, Allen, Keaton. They have grown by one with their addition of Ainsley on July 16th. I was so excited when they reached out to have us photograph Ainsley and grab some of the whole family as well. With our first one on the way maybe we'll get to see these guys more often with some play dates. Keaton will be the cool, older kid but I'm sure he'll be able to handle that!

We met up with them at Allen's parents house which is beautiful and right on a pond. Ainsley was just sleeping away which made for such a peaceful look on her face.

Ariel + Tommy Wedding: Indianapolis Wedding Photography

What a great day it was. Ariel and Tommy were both looking, feeling, and having a great time from the moment we arrived. Once they saw each other all of those feelings just got better and you could tell by the smile on their faces.  They chose the Indianpoils Zoo to have the reception and ceremony  which has a beautiful outdoor setting for two people to start their new lives together.

It was a blast shooting their wedding and I know they will enjoy their week in Costa Rica!

The Fisher Family - Indianapolis Family Portrait Photography

When past clients reach out to set up another photo shoot, it's a good feeling. It helps confirm that the photos and service they received in the past at least if not met their expectations. So when Nikole and Scott reached out to me to for another photo shoot I was exstatic. Cam, their little guy, is a little older and even cuter which is apparent in that smile of his.  We met up downtown around the canal which is always a great spot for photos. It really is always a blast hanging out with the Fisher's, with or without my camera!

The First Dance

The first dance song is an important one. You'll always remember it and every time you hear it will take you back to not only the wedding day but the actual first dance itself. Some couples know the song without really having to think about it. A song they have listened to from an artist they both love just hits the right cords with both of them. Others however struggle. A lot of people just listen to talk radio, books on cd, no radio at all...  As an avid music fan I am always on the lookout for new bands and artists to throw into the iTunes library, because who has anything other than iTunes, and hit the shuffle button. As I come across songs that have some sentimental value and clients looking for some guidance on a good song hopefully this post and those in the future can help brides and grooms find that special song.

First up, a song by Josh Ritter called "The Right Time". It is a song I could easily see any guy who has a halfway decent voice, myself not included, and the nerve to sing in front of someone busting out on a karaoke night. Check it!

The Sisco Family: Indianapolis Family Portraits

It had been a while. In fact, it may have been since high school since I have caught up with Tauna. Needless to say it was a pleasant surprise when she asked to take their family portraits.  The whole family is onl in town a few times each year as they live in what seems like an ideal place in New Hampshire. The Sisco's  consist of Jim, Tauna, James Walter, and the most recent addition of Sebastian!

I met up with at Tauna's parents house which is a little off the beaten path but an awesome place. There is a nice garden, a creek, some open areas... Pretty much whatever you need to get away from things. It was a blast meeting them all and hope to see them all again next time they make it back to the midwest!

Now that is one infectious smile. Except for Sebastian :)

Gyboree ad photo? I think so!
