Out and About

I often find myself sitting behind my computer for hours on end. The reason vary from editing photos,  catching up on Google Reader, e-mails.... It is easy to get lost on the information superhighway which even if you have a destination there are countless off ramps to detract from the objective. So to clear my mind a bit and get some fresh air I went out and photographed some objects that have been catching my eye over the last few months along the roadside of my normal paths. Below are some of the shots I grabbed while just out and about.

For some reason, trees peak my interest. I imagine it has been said before but they seem to have similar traits to snowflakes in the sense that no two are exactly the same.

This one in particular caught my eye the first time I saw it. I'm sure there is some scientific reason that I will never understand as to what would cause a tree to grow in such a way but I thought it was unique to say the least.

This cross is easy to miss. It is set back off the road in an abandoned lot. I don't know what happened on this piece of empty land but I am quite sure this cross bears significant meaning.

 Another shot of the cross.

I got home and when I got out of the car, I could already smell this deliciousness that Stephanie had begun whipping up. It was fantastic, found on Pinterest, and cooked enough for a few more meals and leftovers are almost always a great thing.

BIG NEWS!

This is the most personal post on the blog to date. The typical writings here are thoughts and feelings about clients, interests, or any other random thought that may be running through my mind. The difference being that there is a little Woodall in the making! Stephanie and I are ecstatic to announce that we will be welcoming a child later this year.  So we setup the tripod, put the camera on a timer, and told the world of our life changing news.

Charity Ball: 2011

One of my favorite organizations, Charity : Water had their largest charity event in their history back in December. After all was said and done, 2.7 million dollars was raised in a single evening. The entire night was paid for by their sponsors so each dollar collected whether from ticket sales, the silent auction, or just a pure donation will be spent solely on moving forward to provide for those in need of clean drinking water. This organization is fantastic and if you are moved enough and have the ability to help out, your efforts will certainly not go unnoticed. The short video below highlights the night and it appears it was a lot of fun for a great cause.
