Bruce & Emily

Bruce and Emily were troopers. They were willing to brave the Indiana winter weather during the shoot. Being from Missouri they are used to December temperatures but it didn't make it any easier. We took a short break for some hot chocolate which helped. Meeting Emily and seeing Bruce again was a great time and I look forward to shooting their wedding in '10.

The Zircher Family

The shoot was originally supposed to be a larger group but unfortunately the second family got sick and could not make it. I enjoyed shooting the family and I think Nolan is going to have a photography and lawn mowing business when he grows up and Graham was great.

The Avett Brothers

A great band that I came upon is The Avett Brothers. The band consists of two brothers and an additional bass player. They have four albums and from what I've heard, all of them are good especailly the latest one which was released late September of this year. You can hear the songs from most of their albums on their website at http://www.theavettbrothers.com/

They are coming to Indianapolis early next year and hope to make it to the show.

The Smith Family

Brock, Melissa, Andrew & Joe. The Smith family was great to shoot. I've known Brock and Melissa for quite some time and it had been a while since I had seen them so it was great to reconnect. Andrew and Joe were enjoying themselves at the same park where I used to go when I was little.

The Duncans

I took some shots of the Andy & Lori Duncan, the latter of which happens to be pregnant with twins. The weather was a little chilly so we just stayed around the house when taking the pictures. Lori was a little hesitant to show the belly but I think it turned out pretty good. I look forward to being able to come up with some cool shots once the babies,Alex and Regan, join us. It's always fun to be able to take pictures of your close friends and this was no exception. Below is the slideshow.

Little White Flower

A petal off a flower in the backyard was on the ground so I thought it would make a good picture.

Naaman & Ashley Wedding

I was lucky enough to shoot the wedding of Naaman & Ashley this past Saturday. The weather was perfect and any reason to go to Bloomington is alright with me. They were amazing to work with and I'm glad I got the chance to shoot their special day.

The National

It seems that Brooklyn is a breeding ground for indie bands. The last few I have come across have all been from there. The latest is a band called The National. Don't know much about them and their website is a little difficult to navigate. They have a unique sound that kind of lulls you in. You can check out some of their songs on myspace at the link below.

Jets Overhead

A band called Jets Overhead has some good stuff. They are from British Columbia and have had a couple of albums, only one of which I have heard called "No Nations". You can find their songs on iTunes. Give it a listen and let me know what you think. Their website is www.jetsoverhead.com

Backyard In The Morning

I took these the other morning when I got up to let the dogs out. There were four or five of the spider webs and I thought it was impressive that they were spun overnight.

Woops

Turns out the camera wasn't broke at all. Luckily I figured that out before having to send it into Nikon. I am off to southern Texas this week and may get some interesting shots. When I say south, I mean I can see Mexico from the town I am staying in. Should be interesting.

Great Lake Swimmers

A band from Toronto with fans such as Robert Plant, Lance Armstrong, and NBC's Brian Williams, Great Lake Swimmers is a great band to check out. http://www.greatlakeswimmers.com/

First

I was in upper Michigan last week which is a beautiful area. Petoskey was the town which is right on the Lake Michigan. Needless to say I'm glad my time there was spent in the summer months. I hope to post some shots I took soon.
